.....Le Mans '73 would be a renaissance year for Porsche. The production-based Carrera RS 2.8s from the private teams, and two new prototype 3 liter factory RSRs would be Porsche's main focus. The new type RSR driven by Muller/van Lennep was the best placed Porsche, coming in 4th overall, 9 laps ahead of a 908! The best placed RS out of the 9 entries was the Kremer Racing entry driven by Keller/Schickentanz/Kremer which finished 8th overall and covered 2,678.97 miles at an average speed of 111.64 m.p.h., finishing just behind a second 908. It was 1st in the GT Under 3 Liter class....page 123
